Beit Yisra'el (House of Israel) is a major street in Jerusalem that dates back to the 19th century. The street, which runs through the city’s Mea Shearim neighborhood, is named after the first yeshiva established in the city, in 1850. It was rebuilt in 1895, and continues to be a center of Torah study today. The street is also home to a synagogue, merchants, and old-style boutiques, as well as several iconic restaurants.
